Currencies and Telegram Stars

What currency are Telegram Stars priced in?

US dollars. Telegram sets one dollar price for Stars worldwide and one dollar payout rate, then the app stores convert to local price tiers for in-app purchases. That is why every figure on this site starts in USD and is converted from there.

Which currency should I buy Telegram Stars in?

Whichever your card is denominated in, to avoid a double conversion. Buying in a foreign currency means your bank applies its own spread of typically 0.5% to 3% on top of the exchange rate, on a purchase that is already marked up if you are inside a mobile app.

Do Telegram Stars cost the same in every country?
